Physical Education Classes Can't Wait to PLAY Badminton!
Help me give my students birdies, kickballs, and volleyballs to get active in class.
My high school students come from all over the city and are of low socio-economic status. Our school is located in an industrious neighborhood. We are one of the few technology schools around. We have more male than female students. We have a diverse population including an ever-growing refugee population. I mostly work with 9th-grade students but have upper classes as well. I have coached the girls volleyball team for the past six years. Sometimes it’s challenging to get female students to participate in sports, but our volleyball team has been increasing in numbers and female involvement.

We have a higher male student population than female. The past two years at our school, the principal gave all of the elective budget to our music classes. Thus, the physical education classes haven't received any new equipment in a few years. Many of our students really enjoy playing kickball, badminton, and volleyball. Students will be so excited to get birdies in class again, so they can play non-contact sports again.
