Our physical education program is growing and we need resources for our students! We have an exciting "spark" curriculum that we have implemented that focused on physical, social, and mental development of all our students. We are looking for two floor hockey goals and two badminton sets.

We are an inner city school that is transforming with great leadership and raising the standards and expectations for all students. Currently, our physical education program is looking to add materials for our middle school curriculum. We offer a variety of units that develop skill and allow all students to experience different activities and sports. The units that we teach include: basketball, badminton, soccer, floor hockey, flag football, soccer, and volleyball. Our school is growing and class size for our specialty classes is 25 students. Our students strive to excel in the classroom and on the playing fields and courts. All of our students are engaged in our physical education classes and our lessons are engaging and offer a wide variety of teaching and learning strategies.
My Project
Currently, we design our physical education classes for all students to be engaged and develop skill. We use the "spark" curriculum which is a unique design that provides students that opportunities to learn and grow while working together. Our lessons include warm-up activities and cool downs in addition to cooperative learning stations that allow students to feel confident in our physical education classes. We do not have enough goals for our stations and small area games and need two badminton sets for our curriculum. Students will have an opportunity to use the goals in a number of games and activities (soccer, floor hockey, handball). Also, the two badminton sets will provide all of our students to use racquets during the lessons. Each of these materials will assist with the design of our lessons and our goal which is to provide materials for all of our students during our classes.
These materials will allow all of our students to have an opportunity to learn and improve their fitness levels in our physical education classes.
Currently, we are not able to provide enough racquets for all of our students during our lessons and the two goals will assist us with designing our lessons for all of our students to be engaged and learning during class. Physical education is a key element of our school's health and wellness initiative to get our students moving and learning.
