My Students

My students love hands-on learning science experiments. They have two years of virtual learning and hybrid learning which has caused great anxiety in our learning community. Science is a fun way to bring back hands-on covid-free learning where the students get to have hands-on learning and see the growth happen each day as they enter the classroom.

I hope this experiment will give them something positive and fun to focus on and give some good starting conversation to our daily labs.

My Project

Photosynthesis Project is a major unit that we study in 8th grade. The grow lights and seeds and pots will help us simulate what happens in nature by fast-forwarding it. Actually growing something in the lab will go on for a period of time which will help keep the conversation going and reinforce the learning of the photosynthesis process with a hands-on experience.

Growing plants and learning how this process works more in-depth and not in virtual learning gives the student a new perspective on our outside world!
