I teach in a rural area that receives over 80 percent free and reduced-price lunches. My students enter my room each day ready to learn. I always look forward to seeing their smiling faces. They are very creative and eager to gain knowledge.
My students take challenging problems and find solutions.
Their determination and drive motivates other students to work even harder. I enjoy teaching these students and consider myself blessed to be teaching such a great group of individuals.
My Project
A classroom camera would be a useful asset to add to our media center. By having this type of camera, it would give my students another camera to utilize when documenting our progress on class projects and community service projects that we complete. The Canon Powershot SX530 HS Camera with 32GB Deluxe Accessory Kit would be utilized by my students as they journal our progress we make on projects and events we attend using only still images.
Impartial and accurate journalism is more necessary now than ever before in our world.
Photojournalism would allow my students to tell a story about our projects we create in class in a creative format. My students would be able to share this information with our school and community news sources each time they report on something. This type of journalism would expose my students to the importance of accurately and fairly depicting events, projects, and facts to an audience. The notepads and pens would be used to collect information and details from the events and projects being documented by this method of photojournalism. Help me give my students theses supplies so they have all the equipment they need to report efficently.
