Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are actively seeking affirmation and thrive on art. They come from low income households where more often times than not, art is their only outlet. In my class students are able to express their emotions through painting, drawing and all things media arts. They have a strong passion for culture and desire to contribute to the growing world.
The purpose of art is washing the dust of daily life off our souls -Pablo Picasso.
My students are creative, thought provoking and love challenges! They are eager to put their thoughts into art and they are truly my inspiration!
My Project
My students have been using flimsy mat board to photograph their product photography shots. These tents will allow them to have a well lit area filled with their chosen background. This will really improve the quality of their imagery and allow them to expand their portfolio.
These resources will help meet the needs of many eager students who are longing for better equipment to improve their craft.
The reflective boards will also be used for stylistic advertising photography to give a reflection to a product. My students are very excited to start on this project so they can apply their knowledge to the real world.
