Phonics is the Key to Reading

Help me give my students phonics games and materials to promote early literacy!

My Project

Promoting positive early literacy skills in my prekindergarten students is my top priority in getting them ready for learning for Kindergarten. When students are given basic phonics knowledge early in their educational journey then they are more successful when they start the reading journey.

The Learning Letters Activity center will be beneficial in helping the students with letter recognition skills and letter-sound correspondences.

The alphabet mystery box game will be used to help the students reinforce and introduce their letter-sound correspondences. The game will make studying this concept fun and enjoyable while making it hands-on. The find and float alphabet bubbles will be an educational addition to my water table. The students will be able to fish for the letters as they engage in this sensory-seeking activity.

The alphabet ice cream cones will help reinforce the skill of matching uppercase and lowercase letters. The students love pretending with their favorite foods and making it educational is a bonus. The hot dots alphabet and corresponding pens will make an instant self-correcting alphabet recognition center. The students will enjoy this activity because they will get instant feedback if they are grasping the concept on the educational cards.
