I work in a Title I school and I teach second grade. Our classroom is a close-knit community of learners. We call ourselves the Bear Family and my students really do treat each other like family. They are so caring about each other and constantly support each other and push each other to take risks with their learning. They are constantly asking questions and they are all voracious readers.
Every day is a new adventure in our classroom with the Bear Family!
Phonics games are a great way for scholars to focus on specific phonics skills in a fun way. Many of my students are reading below grade level and the phonics curriculum that we are using is too advanced for them.
These phonics games will reach my lower readers at the level that they are at and help to bridge the gap to be on grade level.
Each of these games targets a different phonics skill that students need to advance their reading. After assessing students' reading levels, I can assign games and activities that will meet the exact skills that they need to focus on.
