Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

My Students
My students are inquisitive little thinkers that struggle with basic reading skills. They are driven to become better readers like their grade level peers. They are a hands-on bunch that receive reading support in and out of the general education classroom. They are eager to see and chart their reading growth weekly and love being active participants in class. They are a lively bunch with awesome attendance and ready to take on the day's challenges.
My students are multi-sensory learners with diverse needs and need lessons with activities that incorporate a variety of learning styles.
The traditional copying words off the board or charts lend little to develop their recall, But when a lesson hits all their learning styles, growth is evident and endless.
My Project
Students who struggle with reading and writing, hate to read and write. Having these colorful hands-on puzzles and magnetic-board centers to assemble basic sight words and high frequency words, will be a catalyst for reading and writing simple sentences for my beginning scholars.
FUN + LEARNING = The Best Educational Experience
These fun and engaging phonics activities are a great way to keep students engaged and wanting more. I can visualize how my students will enjoy assembling the syllable puzzles, building and stacking words to match attractive pictures, and working at centers with the magnetic boards and tiles with their peers.
