I have an amazing group of first graders. They have a love for learning and trying out new materials. My goal as a teacher is to find ways to give my students hands on materials to help them become engaged in what we are learning.
My project focuses on materials that will help engage my students during reading interventions and whole group phonics instruction.
The LED writing tablets will provide a creative and fun way to practice spelling and blending words during phonics and small group. The blending boards will help me implement a new intervention program for my class. I'm also wanting to get fidgets and pop its to help students get hands on experiences while they are blending sounds of words.
I think that all of the materials will benefit my students and improve their phonics skills.
