Personalized Learning Power and Sanitation

My Students

My young learners live in a quiet suburb outside of St. George, Utah. The students are surrounded by red rocks, beautiful country life, and an inactive volcano. They have the wonderful opportunity to enjoy the little world around, but they are full of wonder, and curiosity about the world they have yet to explore.

These fifth grade students are amazing little scholars who thrive on being self-directed within the classroom.

They are dedicated learners who enjoy utilizing their own voice and choice within their learning styles. They are driven by discovery, motivated by projects and experiments, and are very excited to learn new things. Our elementary school gives these students the opportunity to meet new challenges with determination and motivation for a better future. While building upon these students' strengths, and encouraging them to face their challenges with willingness and an open mind.

My Project

Funding for this project will provide each student with headphones and a mouse while working online with their science, math, and reading lessons. These students have online research projects, listening centers, online group presentations, and so much more. With these resources my students will be able to work productively, and have access to sanitation wipes for their own learning devices in order to keep our classroom disinfected on a daily basis.

We currently have many challenges we have faced with the coronavirus, and access to essential materials should not be a part of the daily struggles in order to have successful, meaningful learning day in and day out.

If our school goes back to online learning from home, my students will be able to take their headphones, and mouse with them along with their Chromebook home in order to continue learning with the necessary resources
