Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students and I learn and work together in an elementary school classroom in a New York City public school.

The students are enthusiastic learners and love to learn and create during the units covered in our grade curriculum throughout the year.

They enjoy participating in hands-on projects, investigations, experiments, group work, completing research, using technology, writing, and presenting their findings in interesting ways that incorporate technology and art. Often we do not have the necessary supplies and technology to complete regular classroom activities.

My Project

I am requesting a classroom license to IXL Math and Reading. IXL is a personalized learning platform which will allow students to practice standard based grade level skills at their own pace. It will allow children to get the remediation and practice with skills they have not yet mastered and move them to the next level when they have shown proficiency in that area.

All children learn and grow differently.

Having access to this online resource will allow me to differentiate instruction and learning for the students, making it an invaluable tool in our online classroom.
