This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
Our classroom needs new whiteboards and dry-erase markers to help us with our learning. We use these materials every day for a variety of activities and instruction. We use them during math to solve problems and play games. We use them during language arts in whole groups and small groups for spelling, sorting, and writing. We use them during SEL time for sharing ideas and drawing pictures.
Whiteboards are such a fun and easy way to keep students engaged, and give all students a chance to participate.
They are always excited when I tell them to grab a whiteboard and marker for our lesson.
Many of the whiteboards in our classroom are old, worn, and unusable, and the markers are drying out, making it hard for students to write with. I am looking forward to giving my students fresh materials to be able to continue their engagement and participation!
