Teacher Professional Development: I need a laptop and sub charger, to help the teacher in professional development, and also give a 21st century learning experience. <profdevpilot>
We start every morning sitting in a circle and talking about things we did last night, then we quickly transition to reading. After that, we been proceed to go into our math, and that brings us to lunch and recess. We have fitness for an hour and 15 minutes, and then we have other subjects.
My students attend a charter school, we are pretty small we don't even have a total count of 300 students.
We are located in southwestern Ohio. My class contains 16, ready to learn, first-graders. The majority of the students are on a free or reduced lunch rate. We are continuing to work on developing our academic school skills, mastering the common core, and becoming fluent readers. My students need more adaptive ways and a teacher who can research effective ways of teaching.
My Project
I will use this computer to better myself in a professional manner by implementing the activities and lessons I learn while I am on going through my reading endorsement program. I will be able to give my kids a better understanding of phonics, and I will also be able to develop as a professional, and educate more effectively. I will also be using the USB charger, to charge our handheld devices that were donated to us.
This project will impact the way I teach, it will impact students for approximately 33 years.
It will be used as a professional development tool for me as an educator.
