This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have the illustrious honor of teaching an amazing group of second graders who have a wide range of diverse academic needs. They eagerly embrace opportunities to utilize technology to engage in learning experiences throughout the instructional day.

I need your assistance to provide my students with materials that will help them become engaged with hands-on math and science skills outside of class time.

I would love to provide my students with objects that they can take home to play and learn with their parents and siblings. Something great would be Family Engagement Math & Literature Packs in order to strengthen their home-school learning connection. My students enjoy coming to school. And I want them to have the same transition of learning and having fun at home as well. Their happiness and learning is important for me.

My Project

Children's personal hygiene is essential in order for them to feel confident along side their peers to learn and interact.

Being able to provide my students with a toothbrush, toothpaste, and deodorant would be one less worry for them each day.

Clorox wipes will provide cleanliness to keep students healthy and ready to learn.

Every child deserves to feel comfortable around his or her friends. Even a little stick of deodorant or chapstick can make a BIG difference!Our students are at the age in life where their body is constantly changing and sometimes embarrassing accidents can happen. With a fully stocked hygiene closet, we can help make these accidents less embarrassing to the student by providing them with clean clothing, showers, and products they need to feel good again.

Basic hygiene supplies can help increase students self-confidence and engagement in the classroom.

63% of our students receive free or reduced price lunches, often times these same families must choose between food and health care at home. From sports bras for PE and athletics events to lotion for dry skin; students will be able to ask for and discreetly receive hygiene items they need to be successful and comfortable in their activities. We have also set up a basket in the classroom of things students may need from pads, deodorant, and chap-stick. But we are running low on some necessities. We would like to continue giving the students things they need without them having to ask for them.

Our goal is to make a positive impact on students lives by providing them with necessities that others take for granted. In addition to a broom, dustpan, Clorox wipes, and wet jet to keep the classroom clean for them especially during this season were students keep getting sick.
