My students attend a Title I public school in a multicultural diverse community. Each student is offered the opportunity to free breakfast and lunch as well as various other free services. Our school is one of seven high schools in the city, and our student population is about 2,000 children. My students bloom in wonderful diversity and culture offered in the school and community, however many struggle due to outside responsibilities.
My students are eager and open to new experiences but struggle to make real-world connections and applications in life.
They flourish when they have new opportunities to learn various ways to be creative and to use these art tools and techniques in other areas of their lives.
My Project
With students returning to some sorts of school practices, it would be beneficial for students to have their own mice to use with their personal devices in their Computer Visual Arts classes.
Students will be utilizing various platforms to create meaningful and expressive works of art.
In these unprecedented times, supplying the students with their own mouse would provide them with the proper safety and tools to continue to be engaged in learning and apply their skills directly to their artwork. Students will be learning how to create digitally using Photoshop. My students deserve the necessary tools to help assist them in expressing themselves digitally in both a safe and fun way. With these mice students will be able digitally create that will help support each of their social and emotional learning.
