Help me give my students personal hygiene products they need. The deodorant will help our growing middle schoolers manage their personal hygiene and the feminine products will be availbale to all the girls in the locker room.
Our middle school students are eager to learn, and they enjoy the social interactions and physical activity of PE classes. We live in rural Southern Oregon, with over 50% of our students coming from low-income households. Our students are excited to be back in-person all 5 days. Help our students get the physical activity that they need, and also have the personal hygiene items they need to comfortably participate.
Let's face it. Middle school can be a tough transition period for all of our students. In physical education, we see over 90% of the school's population. Our students are required to dress down in school-issued PE uniforms, allowing our students to be more physically active since they are wearing appropriate workout gear. However, with the activity, comes the responsibility of our students to manage their personal hygiene. The deodorant will be available for students that do not have the means to supply their own.
Experiencing puberty through the Middle School years can be challenging for our female students, too.
The feminine products will allow our female students access in times of need. The products will be available in our girls' locker/restroom areas. It will allow our girls to have access to the products needed, and eliminate any barriers for our girls to remain in school.
