Help me give my students a unique research project by adding these sources to their library. Books such as The Irish Bridget and Polish Immigration in America will enhance their research capabilities of immigrants' experiences.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students come from a Title I urban district where 75% of the people are considered low income. The students are working hard against disadvantages they've had since birth. My students are primarily Latinx and African American. Most speak two languages.
These students are very curious about the world beyond and they are very passionate about current events and how they fit into the wilder world.
They want to be active and informed citizens that work to make a difference in their community and world.
My Project
As part of a cross-curricular expedition, students will take a deep dive into late 19th and early 20th century immigrant experiences. These requested resources will be used for students to conduct research on a specific ethnic immigrant group to write personal diary entries. This activity will be paired with interviewing modern day immigrants so students can synthesize the similarities and differences in immigration throughout history and today.
By using these particular books for research purposes, all students will be able to participate regardless of their skill or ability level, so it is truly an inclusive task.
The books were selected to give students who struggle with disabilities research sources they can use, along with grade level students and accelerated students having access to compelling texts to turn into a narrative experience. I fundamentally believe in meeting all students where they are at, and access will provide the students a richer experience, while also being able to move them forward.
By donating to this project, you will help provide a wide range of compelling research materials to students so we can work to close the achievement gap.
