My students need learning materials and books that will help them with expressing themselves through writing. It will also help them prepare for the FSA writing exam.
As a teacher at a Title I charter school, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. I am looking for ways to increase my scholars' self-awareness and ability to manage social challenges as well as provide them with creative and meaningful learning experiences. I want them to be able to express themselves through writing.
My scholars are creative, spontaneous, outspoken, and determined.
They come to school with many self-doubts but are inquisitive about the steps to grow and increase their knowledge. My scholars come to school eager to learn and try to do their best. They enjoy the structure that we contribute in their lives. They want to be in school to learn how to be a better scholars and learn as much as they possibly can so they can be successful adults and active citizens.
My Project
Being a charter school, the funding for books is very limited. These workbooks will allow our students to access writing materials they normally would not have access to. It will increase their vocabulary, writing skills, as well as comprehension.
These activities will allow collaboration, excitement, and active learning.
Students will have access to grammar activities, cursive writing, and writing tips. This will allow students to receive a knowledge they would not normally be exposed to. They will share the books between grades and also share activities.
This will definitely increase their confidence in their writing as well as their verbal and written communication.
