My students come from a small, rural school. Many of my students are low income, but our school is not Title I. This means that our teachers don't get access to many of the supplies other teachers do.
My boys and girls love to learn!
They are enthusiastic when we get new books to read or begin a new unit. Every morning when they come in, they can't wait to learn something new. Their curious nature is so addictive! I just want to teach them as much as I can.
These iPads and headphones will make a world of difference in my class. As of now we only have 5 ipads to share among 20 students. Adding these two iPads will allow for the entire small group to practice skills at a center instead of having to share. Students will also be able to use these ipads in our upcoming research lessons.
Students love using technology to supplement what they have been taught in the classroom.
My first graders use the ipads and headphones daily to practice skills using Splashmath and Reading Eggs. These programs are aligned with our standards and offer reports so that I can see which students need help with specific standards after they have been taught. With the addition of these ipads students will be able to spend more time independently practicing skills and researching topics.
