My Students
The students I teach are ambitious learners ready to take on challenges. The students come from diverse backgrounds, but all help to make our classroom function at its maximum. I feel privileged each day to come to a school with devoted colleagues and leadership. The students benefit greatly from the environment of the school. An environment that asks for academic excellence, but also allows students to flourish in creative ways.
As a 4th grade teacher, I get to see these students devour knowledge and all of the potential it possesses. I see the power that a productive and inclusive learning environment can create. Every student deserves the opportunity to feel comfortable and excited when they come to school.
My Project
My goal is to create a wondrous learning environment that will allow creative minds to develop to their full potential. An environment that is breathtaking and inspiring. One based off of literature, that will connect students to words on a daily basis, to a point where students become almost one with the material.
This transformation includes comfortable rugs to read on, posters of masterful novels, perfect mood lighting for reading, and decorative pieces to connect to the Potter heads in class. Who doesn't want to snuggle up on a plush rug with a great book under some gorgeous lighting? I know I do.
