Percussion Extravaganza

My students need new percussion equipment such as snare drums, cymbals, and bongos. My middle school students are using old equipment and would love to have new equipment.

My Students

I have approximately 30 students that participate in my music class. These students are hard working and deserve to have every opportunity to shine.

My students are a mostly a Hispanic group and I would like to give them the opportunity to be well rounded and look to a greater future; a future full of imagination and learning.

We have not been able to keep up with funding the middle school percussion section. This would begin to help get the instrumentation where it needs to be.

My Project

My students will have the opportunity to use percussion equipment that has not been available to them in the past. A pair of crash cymbals and a snare drum that works appropriately. This will hopefully just be the start of the building of the percussion section. My students love to learn and the program has been growing every year. Hopefully, my percussionists will be excited about new equipment and learning how to play it. Building up the percussion section to an appropriate level would mean the world to the students and this is just the beginning. I look forward to a terrific year.
