I teach 23 amazing five year olds. They are constantly questioning, learning and discovering. They know that kindergarten is their first introduction to the world of school, and they can't wait to learn as much as possible.
Many of my students speak a language other than English and we use their language knowledge to build a community of diverse learners.
I want to provide them with every opportunity to experience the world. They are the future and we need to ensure they are prepared to take on anything that comes their way.
My students need books and materials that represent them. My students need books that take them to a new world, give them new experiences, and allow them a window into other cultures. They need materials that will allow them to represent themselves in the work we do in the classroom. The People Colors from Lakeshore will allow my students to create themselves (and others) in their art work and projects. The book shelf will provide us an opportunity to fill our library with books that represent the world they live in. Thank you for helping make my classroom the best it can be!
