My students need all different themed pencils to promote positive behavior!
I am the fortunate teacher of 16 determined students. I work in a school that is the largest of 12 elementary schools in the district. We service over 600 students with a rich diversity of students who come from a variety of backgrounds, with more than 38% of students speaking a second language at home.
My school provides essential materials that are needed to get the school year started, however, it is unable to provide the luxuries my students deserve.
Where do all of the pencils go? My students have a very hard time holding onto things. We need incentives for positive work. The student who are doing the right thing need to be rewarded with extra special supplies and tools. My students need to see that doing the right thing and trying your best results in positive consequences.
Having an ample supply of positive tangible rewards for hard work, and good behavior should be rewarded with fancy pencils.
My students need to be motivated to make the right choices. Having prizes for good behavior is just one tool to help create an environment of positive behavior, engagement and direction towards becoming life long learners. The pencils will serve as a tangible way to see that not all consequences are bad. Please help my students learn the value of making good choices.
