Help me give my students the pencils and sharpener in order to complete daily tasks in our math class. I am a believer in using a pencil in math in order to check and correct their work.
Ready...Set...Go! Oh wait, we need pencils! This is a daily problem for my math class. Unfortunately, pencils seem to disappear or students cannot afford them and because of that, we are in need of pencils!
First and foremost, my classroom is filled with amazing students from all backgrounds and ethnicities.
Which is why I enjoy teaching where I do!
Math does not come easily for every student, and, as the teacher, I need many different ways of trying to reach all of my students. My students are always ready to learn and discover new math concepts. However, most days they come to class more worried about finding a pencil than the concepts at hand.
With your help, my students will be able to come to class and worry about learning the concepts and not about having or finding a pencil.
My Project
When you think of a classroom, you probably think about crayons, makers or maybe colored pencils. I, however, require my students to have a pencil every day when they enter my math class. I am a believer that no one is perfect and that mistakes will happen with each new concept that is taught to the students. because of this, I require my students to use pencils in my class, so that they can correct their mistakes and display their work neatly.
The problem is, having enough pencils to make this happen.
With your help, I will have enough pencils to get us through the rest of the school year and a sharpener to make sure our points are sharp!
