This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Students and teachers alike are faced with the realities that budget cuts bring. One such reality is the lack of supplies available to our classroom.

Our Title One school is home to students who are eager to learn and grow.

While they come to school ready to learn, they are not sent to school with the necessary supplies, and often rely on the classroom to provide them with the basic tools such as pencils, lined paper, and binders.

My Project

Our classroom is requesting number two pencils to carry us through the year and fuel our learning. Without pencils, students are unable to take notes and complete assignments. We rely on pencils for nearly every activity in our fifth grade classroom.

This seemingly simple request will allow us to focus on the learning rather than worrying about whether or not we have the basic supplies to get his through the day.

Pencils drive our learning in every sense, and this essential tool will help our classroom immensely.
