Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach fourth grade ELA and Social Studies in Camden, NJ. My students have been through some struggles, yet they are troopers that try to do their best in every way. Their curiosity and grit continue to push them to achieve.
My students come in every day ready to travel back in time, learn about new worlds and stories, and work on new strategies that will help with comprehension.
They continuously search for answers and feed their minds through books and technology. They love to question everything!
My Project
Pencils, paper, and sticky notes are part of our everyday use and we sure do run out rather quickly due to our enthusiasm for learning. Having these materials readily available will help our classroom run smoothly for all of my students. We need every moment for learning fun so not having to worry about materials will allow us to stay focused.
Having a printer also in our classroom will really help make our writing come alive.
My students will be able to see a polished copy of their hard work immediately. It will also allow them to see their growth as the year goes by because they will be able to keep these in their portfolios.
