Help me give my students PENCILS! This project will be able to provide pencils for the ENTIRE 2020-2021 School Year for thirty-five 3rd and 4th Graders! My parents will not have to worry about pencils for the year!
I teach in a low income area. I have approximately 35 students per day. In the mornings I teach fourth graders and in the afternoon I teach third grade. Subjects that I teach are reading, literacy, and social studies.
My students always try to give me 100%.
However, some students come into my room seeking more than just learning curriculum. They come in to school needing someone to talk to, someone to show them love and support and someone who cares.
With students like these it makes meeting goals even more wonderful! They are so proud when their reading grades improve or when a reading level is far past what they have worked on all year long!
Please help support my students and give them comfort they might not have on a daily basis! I really would like to help provide my students with the supplies they will need but families might not be able to help provide for them due to COVID-19. I would LOVE to NOT have a supply list that goes out at the beginning of the year and be able to tell the parents they won't have to provide any supplies!!!!!
My Project
I would love for this project to be funded to provide pencils for my 3rd and 4th graders for the ENTIRE 2020-2021 School Year! With COVID-19 I would like to make several projects that will be able to provide everyday supplies for ALL of my students! With school beginning again, I know we will all be so extremely excited, however, there will be a real need for supplies. I would LOVE to begin the new school year with all the supplies I need for all of my students so that I will not be providing my parents with a supply list! I know it might seem crazy for a donation for just an everyday supply of something as small as pencils, highlighters, crayons, etc. however these are an ESSENTIAL need in the classroom on a daily basis. Parents are faced at the beginning of every year having to look at the dreaded supply list. I try to keep it to a minimum but there are things that the classroom HAS to have. Please help to donate to this project so I can REMOVE this item from my list that parents will face in the future !
