This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
As a teacher in a low-income, high poverty school district, I see that my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. In my classroom, I strive to create a positive learning environment in which they can thrive. In our class, our goal is to give our all every day.
My students are sweet, smart and hardworking.
They deserve the very best that this world has to offer. I can't wait to watch them achieve their hopes and dreams.
My Project
We always seem to have a problem with pencils every school year. We starting giving the students 2 pencils every Monday, that they have to keep up with for the week. This works pretty well, except we still have some students that cant keep up with them. I would like to purchase a toothbrush holder that each student can keep their pencils in for the week. These holders will hopefully help the students to keep up with their pencils. I plan to reward the students that can use this system well with a special treat each week. We are hoping that this project solves our pencil problem.
