Pencil Pouch Pizzaz

Help me give my students pencil pouches to be successful in the classroom. My third graders need to be organized and responsible with their classroom materials. Additionally, they need access to a good pencil sharpener!

My Students

The students within my third grade classroom are inquisitive, smart, and highly motivated. As with any other typical third grade student, these students are also very energetic.

We currently switch classrooms for different subject areas.

Due to this, students need to be very organized! The students are responsible for carrying their materials from classroom to classroom each day. These supplies include pencils, glues sticks, scissors, crayons, and colored pencils. Most of the students have been able to keep their supplies organized, but it is tough!

My Project

The third graders are responsible for keeping their materials organized as they travel from one classroom to another. This is something new we are trying this school year. So far, the students have adapted really well.

However, having a pencil pouch to keep the supplies organized will really benefit the students.

This will eliminate wasted time on locating missing materials. Additionally, with pencils being sharpened constantly, we need a high powered pencil sharpener. By keeping our pencils nicely sharpened, we will be able to get our thoughts down on paper! Having new pencil pouches and a new pencil sharpener will help us be more successful in the classroom!
