I am the lucky teacher of 24 amazing third graders. They come to school eager to learn and build their knowledge. They are determined, energetic and love to apply their skills. My students have limited resources and are from a low-income/high poverty school with 100% free lunch. Just getting to school can be a challenge for some of them. But we persevere!
Living in Butte County and dealing with the Oroville Dam evacuation, Camp Fire, and their daily struggles, my students have built up some resiliency!
I want to make sure coming to school each day is fun and engaging!
My students work hard everyday! They put their best foot forward and try to apply what they know. They love hands-on learning and building team projects which has lead to a beautiful classroom rapport!
My Project
These items will make a huge difference in our shared pod area. Students will be able to collaborate and work together on the large hexagonal tables. We will be able to store books, toys, and games on the the shelving to keep our area clean!
Our classrooms are pretty small, this area will provide us with a peaceful pod to have some fun and learn!
The peaceful pod transformation will also help students who need a quiet place to work outside the classroom. We have students who can get over stimulated with a full room, having a peaceful area will help them focus and relax.
