Our students come from all walks of life. Our school represents students from a variety of cultures and social economic statuses. We are a public school located centrally in the city. The parents, teachers and staff here are very dedicated and very involved in helping our school become the very best it can be.
We have a strong community within our school and I think this makes the environment unique and special.
The students really enjoy physical education class and will be very appreciative of the new materials and/or field trips experienced.
My Project
All rooms are developing a peace corner so students have a place to calm down and center themselves. My peace corner will be located in my office and I need a new floor table and floor pillows for the mindfulness activities that will be available in my peace corner.
I will hang the posters on the wall in my peace corner to create a peaceful space.
The other items I am asking for will be used when students need to visit the peace corner. Sometimes students will get frustrated or mad during class and the fidget toys, pin art and liquid motion bubbler will help the students calm down until they are ready to come back to class.
