Help me give my students physical education equipment, so we don’t have to use white board erasers as relay batons and cracked soccer and basketballs.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students come from a very low-income neighborhood. They face personal and emotional challenges every day. Yet, they make it to school every day. Most of my students don’t live with their parents. They live with one parent or a relative. My class has the highest attendance in the 4th grade at our school. That says a ton about my students and their love for learning. They are very curious and eager. My studens appreciate the little things in life, and are very giving.
My Project
I will use these materials to assist our students in thier physical education. During PE, we break up our entire 4th grade class of 70 students into three different sports. One of our sports is track, and we focus on relays. Our students use whiteboard erasers provided by two teachers, I bring one of them, to use as batons. I would love to use proper equipment with my students; they deserve it. We also have soccer and basketball games going on, where they also use worn out equipment. Our 4th grade teacher who coaches the basketball team does an amazing job with his team. They play in a big basketball game that is against some all-star players around the community, including those from the local community college and university. Our soccer game is played with a dated ball as well. These students look forward to PE daily and would appreciate decent equipment like running batons, basketballs, and soccer balls.
