Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our school is located in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. This community has a large Hispanic and Asian population. Our school has approximately 1,200 students with over 50% of our students and families being English Language Learners and students with special needs.
Physical Education provides students with the knowledge, and skills they need to live a healthy lifestyle.
Students absolutely love coming to the gym for PE class. They enjoy learning new activities, games, and skills that they can apply to their everyday life. Physical education also teaches students the importance of working as a team, and supporting others which are essential tools for when they enter the workforce.
My Project
Physical Education is a very important part of every child's educational experience. It is a subject that allows students to have fun while learning. Students absolutely love coming to the gym to play games that involve throwing, rolling, and catching balls. The soft texture of the gator skin balls helps ensure students' safety while being physically active.
