Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We have about 90 STEM and and Robotics students every year. Until now, our students primarily used breadboards for creating circuits in STEM and Robotics. This includes connecting breadboards to microcontrollers, power sources, LEDs, resistors, servos, and more.

This project will incorporate soldering into these builds.

With the PCBs, students will be able to create more permanent options to replace breadboards. With this project, students will use the PCB kits to solder the resistors, switches, and LEDs onto the board. This is an important skill for students to walk away with to prepare them for a job in the robotics field.
