This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
COVID-19 has been very hard on everyone, especially on our kids due to constant changes in the routine and learning loss. Try to imagine a small self-contained classroom with 3rd and 4th-grade students. Try to picture a group of very hands-on, unique kids with different skills and learning styles. My students work hard every day and constantly inspire me. They persevere through challenges and adversities whether academic or personal. There are so many little things that prevent our students from learning. In our school, we have a PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) system that helps to keep our kids engaged and participating. There is so much to learn … lots of science and social studies topics, new vocabulary and stem activities writing and reading… Students will earn points throughout the day by being respectful, responsible, and safe. Kids who consistently do their best will be eligible to win a prize. These Amazon gift cards will be given to our students to acknowledge and recognize their positive behavior choices and academic achievements. As the holidays approach, I know our kids would greatly appreciate something special.
We would love to say goodbye to 2022 with a celebration of love.
