My Students

As the oldest school in our district, after operating this long, we do our best to focus on the fundamentals of learning while adapting to the best practices developed over the past century.

OUR students come FIRST!

Every student is different and learns in different ways. With that being said, we want our students to have what is best for them to succeed in having a positive environment.

Students learn and succeed better when they are comfortable in their environment. We want to give our students what they deserve and an environment which helps them learn with positive behavior interventions and supports . We want to use PBIS to improve the effectiveness, efficiency and equity of our school. PBIS also improves social, emotional, and academic outcomes for all students.

My Project

Our school would like to enhance the values at our school by rewarding the positive behaviors of our students with incentives such as pencils, bookmarks, trinkets, PBIS Star Shirts These are needed throughout the year. The other supplies are for teachers to be able to teach PBIS lessons, do evidence-based practices, and keep track of data. It is to help use Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) framework. With our "STAR BUCKS” incentives program, our students will be able to exchange their STAR BUCKS for incentives and rewards. There is also a monthly PBIS STAR T-shirt drawing for each class in each grade level.

Rewards for student "STAR" behavior is an exciting and creative way to encourage a positive environment. We know when a student engages in productive and positive behaviors, it benefits their academics. Students learn appropriate behavior through instruction, practice, feedback, encouragement, and reinforcement!

Our school loves to reinforce the positive behaviors of our students! Your contributions will help reinforce STAR behaviors our students display when they show kindness, taking responsibility, acting safely, and respecting everyone.
