My Students

Do you remember what it was like to do something special for your teacher, or have outstanding behavior and receive nothing in return? I want to reward my students for their positive behavior.

My 4th grade students range from ELL (English Language Learners) and SLD (students with Specific Learning Disabilities) to students that are gifted and talented.

While they may face unique challenges, all of my students are hard working and eager to succeed.

My Project

This year our school implemented a positive behavior intervention system (PBIS). I mirrored this system in my own classroom. I really saw a difference! The only problem is they are so terrific, I am running out of ways to reward them! I am requesting incentive charts, stickers, and tickets to help monitor and track student behavior. I am also requesting pencils and other items to use as rewards in the treasure box that I have for the students. I plan on giving them away or letting them choose when they do something extra-special or meet a goal. My kids deserve it. It will bring a smile to their face and brighten their day. I hope they will look forward to being in class every day and continue to be the best students they can be!
