My Project

In 3K, students are learning how to take care of themselves as well as others, show affection, be sensitive to others needs, and build friendships. Animals, especially pets, help children build on those skills.

A pet study will help our youngest learners to be contributing members to our classroom community.

We are in need of a few supplies to deepen our study. Caring for a class pet creates an opportunity for students to see the benefits of their responsible actions when they feed the pet and handle it respectfully. The easy view classroom aquarium fish tank will allow children to care for a pet fish while observing an animal in its habitat.

Our 3 -4 year old students learn best through imaginative play. The vet and pet grooming kits will encourage students to role play the various workers who help take care of pets. Using these toys will help students learn how to clean, groom, and care for pets when they are sick.

As teachers, our goal is always to enhance the learning for our bright eyed, curious students. We can't wait for our "paw"some pet study!
