My students need supplies like puzzles, crayons, treasure prizes, pattern cards, beanbags, folders, etc. so that they can learn throughout the school year.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I teach first grade ICT at a Title I school. This is the first year that I am working with ICT students and notice that they need a more stable, supportive and positive learning environment. My students love to learn and they love to come to school because it gives them the consistency that they need in their lives. I work with students that are diagnosed with disorders like ADD/ADHD, Autism, Emotional disorders and learning disabilities. It is crucial that we have things that will help foster the calm and serene environment that they seek in the classroom so that they can learn and grow throughout the school year.
My Project
My students are amazing! I want to ensure that they have everything they need to make their year great! We need supplies like folders to organize our papers and work. We need crayons to draw with. The puzzles are to strengthen problem solving skills and tactile ability skills. We need beanbags to work out our fine motor skills. The sight word steps will help my students learn their sight words and the craft tub will help them create amazing things.
Do you remember what first grade was like?
My students want to learn. They need the things that will help them become the best readers, writers and mathematicians that they can be. Things like puzzles, beanbags, crayons, folders, pattern cards and treasure chest prizes (for when they are doing a great job) will help them learn throughout the entire school year.
