"The whole purpose of education is to turn mirrors into windows." -Sydney J. Harris
I teach twenty-two energetic and fun second grade students.
We live in a very rural area. The majority of the students have never left the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Although we have an amazing community who helps in so many ways, students do not have adequate technology.
Currently, there are minimal computers or Chromebooks in my classroom for students to use.
My plan is to use these three Samsung Chromebook laptops to teach students about literacy. I want to "spark" my second grade students' curiosity and appreciation for education. Specifically, I want each student to write, edit, illustrate, and publish a book of their own. The Chromebooks will allow students to become book makers.
Every student will be able to become book makers!
Students will be excited to learn and participate in class. It will increase each student's growth and achievement. Please consider helping this amazing group of second graders.
