My students are excited about their education. They love coming to school and are eager to learn, especially in a hands-on way. They are creative and kind, and they are positive thinkers.
These kids are always thinking of new and innovative ways to use their supplies and technology.
They work together and collaborate to solve problems, and they always look on the sunny side of life. I may be their teacher, but there is definitely a lot I can learn from this bunch.
My students will study artists like Edgar Degas and Mary Cassatt who have created famous works of art using oil pastels. They will then be able to create their own works of art inspired by these artists.
Using oil pastels allows students to blend colors in a way that other tools like crayons and markers do not.
They allow students to create a richness and depth in their artwork and make students feel like they are creating art instead of just coloring a picture. The benefit of these oil pastels will go beyond this school year as they will be used by k-4 students for years to come!
