This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students come from a low income/high-poverty part of the city where they need opportunities to succeed. Four and five year old children need to start their journey strong.
My students are eager to become lifelong learners.
Our school works hard to provide students with opportunities to create, construct, build, investigate, and explore! By providing a bigger variety of materials, students will be able to expand their knowledge. Students will ask more questions, make more connections, and ultimately ask to read and write more about their investigations.
My Project
Students need opportunities to play games with friends. opportunities for students to play basketball, football, and soccer will support students' social-emotional growth as they learn to take turns and work as a team.
By providing basketballs, footballs, and soccer balls students will be have the chance to play, develop social skills, gain gross motor skills, and have fun.
Students will be able to choose which sport they would like to play and take time to learn the game.
By having access to these materials we will also be able to invite parents to play games with their child's class to help us build a community of learners and make connections.
