These students come from a challenging background. Their uniqueness makes teaching a great experience as they aim for greatness daily. Receiving help from donors gives my teaching that supports my need to expand my students understanding.
I am a part of this challenging, but amazing community.
Our school serves 100% reduced/free meals. There are high-poverty/low-income families served. We are bordering the Navajo Nation Lands, so we are about 97% of Native Americans enrolled in our school. The majority of students live off the paved roads, which gives families the challenges of coming to school every day. A majority of our students come from a single-parent household.
Our school makes every effort to positively impact the school culture and we continuously work with our families and the challenges they face each day. We use our school-home connection to engage families in activities allowing for more participation. Making strong lifelong learners and continuing to engage students to take part in their education is what we strive for.
My Project
These materials are useful in my class to create a creative environment. The dry erase boards are for quick responses to display and for feedback discussion. It is also a different mode of interaction that students are engaged in with any subject areas. Lego Stem building materials will help students enhance their reasoning and building skills.
These materials will make a tremendous change for my students.
The privacy tri-folds will help students focus and work independently. The magnetic folder keeper is useful for students that misplace work and need extra practice to become organized. In all, these materials serve different supposes but all benefits the students.
