Part II - Making Recorder Easier with Easel Binders

I have the privilege of sharing the world of music with grades 1-6 at Bay Farm Elementary School in Alameda, California. This is my fourth year of teaching at this wonderful school and I still can't believe I get to do this for a living!
The students in my Fourth grade music classes are excited about learning to play the recorder (a basic flute-type instrument). They are required to have a music binder or folder to keep their music neat when they take it home to practice and when they need it during our music class. They currently provide their own.
My classes are held in the multipurpose room and students sit on the floor. I encourage sitting up straight while playing recorder, but this is difficult for them while looking on the floor at their music. Unfortunately music stands are not a feasible solution. The alternative solution that I propose is an easel binder for each student. They will be able to stand it on the floor to see their music with ease, sit up straight while playing, as well as see me for direction. I'm very excited at the prospect of using easel binders, but have to admit I got the idea from one of my students. I wasn't aware there was such a thing until he brought his and showed me how well it worked. He said, "It works great for practicing at home, too!" That was certainly music to my ears!
Bay Farm School currently has three Fourth grade classes. Each class has 32 students. So my proposal is for a total of 96 binders. Part I of my proposal has been filled! (10 binders) Thank you so much! There are 32 students, so I am requesting 22 more binders.
