Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Being a student is hard enough, but not having the right supplies makes it even more difficult. I don't want materials to stand in the way of my students ability to function in class, so I would like to supply them with pens, pencils, colored pencils, glue, scissors, earbuds, etc as needed on individual basis. In addition, I would like to change the way that they interact with the material via the incorporation of interactive notebooks (using glue sticks and notebooks), manipulatives (using cardstock, colored paper, sticky notes), and other hands on low tech activities. I would like to get them connecting more with one another via class building activities as well. I would also like to reward them for doing well and for improvement with snacks and cultural stickers.

The products that I have selected will allow my students have the necessary supplies they need in class; provide me with the materials to create interactive materials for them; allow for the implementation of interactive notebooks; and provide them with incentives in the form of food and stickers.

I am so excited about where this will take them in their quest to acquire the French language.
