Parkin' Cell In Hotel and Rockin' The Español Clase Colors!
Help me give my students a cell hotel (so they can focus better), lots of colors to express themselves (pencils & pens), file folders for fast finisher handouts, and staplers that easily staple booklet projects.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I love that my students are creative and are learning how to communicate in Spanish well. I'm very proud of them, because they work hard and are respectful. They are so wonderful and make me enjoy my job. I usually buy supplies, teaching materials and pay for professional development out of my pocket. But, this summer I'm asking for help, so that we can start the school year right.
This past year, my class read an 82 page novel in Spanish!
They need supplies to creatively demonstrate their comprehension of our readings and communicate. I have my students read, write, listen and speak in Spanish. I get $90 per year for supplies. Sometimes parents make donations like boxes of tissues and Staples gift cards. It's hard to not spend more on them, when I see how much they appreciate my work, my research and how it has made them learn a language that maybe they have not had much success with in the past.
I tell them, it's not my job to feel like you can't. It's my job to make you feel safe and to teach you. I have a very student centered curriculum and I intend to continue.
My Project
The use of colors are so necessary when it comes to learning Spanish. Kids want to have fun with color to express themselves. With the "whiteboards" we can do personalized questions for guided practice, answer grammar questions and more. It will let me see what and how they are doing. What becomes a problem is the fact that the markers never seem to last, erasers seem to disappear, and the sheet protectors I'm using become stained from frequent use and it disappoints the kids that that's all I have, because I've already spent my $90 or so for the year.
If you choose to donate to our project, not only will my 180 kids benefit, but also the future students - it will help them pay attention and enjoy projects, because they have the supplies they need to succeed.
Students will put their phones in the cell hotel while they work (cutting down on distractions) and have color paper, pens, and pencils to work with.
