My students are looking for a reading experience that will ignite their reading excitement! This project will give students a chance to read some educational, and current material.

My Project
These reading materials give my students a chance to read current events within the classroom. Students will learn about new and exciting discoveries in science, history, pop-culture, and the world around us! In my classroom we do daily reading centers where student have a chance to work in groups with their peers to read together. They do fun activities that allow them to improve their reading skills. These magazines offer a different genre of reading for the students to experience.

Even in magazines with lots of pictures, students are still getting the reading that is so crucial to learning. Having different reading content like comics and magazines allows the students to see that reading can be fun!
Students need differentiation in the classroom. By having these reading materials it will allow students who may struggle to enjoy reading story book and novels a chance to try something new. Time for Kids magazines give students a chance to read non-fiction materials that they can relate to and find interesting.
