My Kindergarten students are the future! In our Kindergarten classroom we learn through hands-on experiments and exploration. My Kinders are excited to begin their day with activities that get them motivated and open their minds to new learning adventures. We live in a small town in Southwest Oklahoma. Some of my Kinders may never get to leave this part of our state, so it is very important to me to introduce them to the world in our classroom. I love to see their faces light up and hear the squeals when they discover something new and exciting in our classroom!
My Project
My students will use these hand-on learning sets to work together using their imagination and creativeness! Our project has a variety of magnetic building sets, tube builders, IQ builders that use tool sets, a magnetic addition machine, and a marble run! These items will help promote fine motor, social and cognitive development through play-based learning. My students will be able to build and create for the whole year!
We will be able to build and create every day in our class.
It is so important for kids to have time to create and interact with others. This is not just social play. This dedicated time in schedule will be utilized as our STEM stations and will hopefully strengthen my students' skills in a variety of ways. These stations will be a big part of our day. We will spend time each day creating and learning through hands-on play. This type of play-based learning builds fine motor skills, social skills and cognitive learning.
I love when a student is so proud of what they accomplished that they want to show it off! We celebrate creativeness every single day in our room!
