My Students

Our classroom is one where I strive to make the children feel safe and have consistency. My 4-5 year old students come from the lowest income demographic in our town. We provide transportation, meals, and much more; free to every family.

Many of my students have never experienced a structured environment for learning and working together.

We work on not only helping the children we serve, but the family as a whole unit. We come from many cultures and backgrounds, but together we are Team Head Start Pre K!

My Project

Due to our Head Start being closed because of Covid19, we need materials to send home to keep our kids engaged. Our children are all low income and can't afford to buy school materials to use at home. We are making home packs with materials from our classroom, but they need so much more than we can spare. I have included things we needed for the areas of writing and fine motor, science, math and language. My parents are excited about the packs we are making and these materials will make it even better! I know these materials will keep my kids interested and excited to make the school home connection!
