Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are amazing little humans. They are resilient and vibrant, and I am dedicated to finding the best ways to teach them. They are truly the best and sweetest group of children and bring such joy to each and every day.
These little people learn to separate from parents and bond to and trust me as their teacher.
I teach at a Title I school where 100% of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. Pre-Kindergarten is usually at the bottom of the list when money is available.
My Project
This project will provide my students and families with a variety of magnetic building tiles for a Family STEM Night. The sets received through this project will provide students and families with a variety of kits in which to explore, experiment and engineer. Kits include Magnetic Building Sticks Building Blocks Set, Magnetic Building Sticks Building Blocks Set, and various Magnetic Tiles.
The purpose of the Family STEM Night will be to provide students and families with an opportunity to explore STEM concepts and develop 21st century skills within the family unit.
The open-ended magnetic building tiles will provide families with limitless possibilities for creativity, STEM exploration, and family engagement.
Besides the Family STEM Night, these supplies will also be used for centers in our learning commons and classroom STEM integration.
